day 6
suzanne had to get up at the crack of dawn to make it back to the hospital in time for her shift, but i took my time. slept in a bit, had a lovely breakfast overlooking the lake and took the slow boats and wandered through the towns a bit more before returning to Santiago. i hoped to make it time to see the acupuncturist at the hospital, but when i arrived there was quite the long line to see him. i may go to san marcos again on Friday to see him and see if acupuncture helps my knees at all…
it was an amazing day, i arrived back at the house and didn’t want to do anything but hit the lake and cool off. in the few minutes that it took me to change into my suit, the clouds moved in and i couldn’t really see anything. in an act of faith i still went down and jumped in, but it was pretty chilly when i got out. then the crazy rain began and here i sit indoors writing my blog. not entirely a bad thing since i get to enjoy suzanne's fantastic house and am not far from el bano as i experience a touch of g.i. distress. AND i get to read Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortensen as i wait for photos to load. i'm only on pg 70, but i'm enthralled. illuminating and is currently causing a bit of introspection and awe....
